        GRC CONFERENCE INFORMATION AND DETAILS ...       
    WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU REGISTER       
  • Dates and Times:  The Grantee Renewal Conference opens on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 with registration beginning at 1:00 pm and the opening reception kicks off at 4:00 pm. The Conference closes on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 5:00 pm. CT.
  • Registration is available for 2 people per organization (unless pre-approved by MMI for additional person): Complete your registration as soon as you can - SPACE IS LIMITED and we anticipate the event will fill quickly!!   Registration at no cost to attendees includes: 

    • Tuesday (7/30), Wednesday (7/31) and Thursday (8/1) night stay at the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District.  MMI will make hotel reservations based on your registration form.  Please DO NOT make your own hotel reservations!

    • Opening Reception on Tuesday evening

    • Breakfast, lunch and banquet dinner on Wednesday

    • Breakfast and lunch on Thursday

    • Conference materials

    • Time to renew your spirit while you gain invaluable knowledge and connections!

  • Not included in the Registration:

    • Transportation:  The airport for the event is Louis Armstrong New Orleans International AirportYou are on your own for transportation to and from New Orleans and for travel to and from the airport.  Bus, Taxi, Uber, Lyft, shared rides, etc. are all available from the airport.  The Marriott does not offer shuttle service to and from the airport.  Parking at the hotel is not included in the registration.

    • Dine Arounds:  You will be on your own for dinner after the opening reception on Tuesday evening and on Thursday evening after the conference closes.  On both nights, we will have local organizations willing to offer suggestions and be available to join you at local restaurants within walking distance. Watch for signup opportunities for the Dine Arounds.  

    • Additional Nights at the Hotel (before or after the conference) are not included in the registration.*

  • Dress for the conference is typically business casual:  The hotel has the best air-conditioning in town so please plan to dress in layers with a sweater or wrap while in the hotel.  Evenings in New Orleans will be very hot and muggy.

    • Renewal Activities:  Please pack accordingly for the renewal activities you are interested in attending. A complete list of renewal activities under consideration will be posted soon.

    • Tuesday, Opening Reception:  Feel free to dress as casual as necessary for travel comfort and dinner out in New Orleans after the reception.

    • Banquet on Wednesday night:  Some people choose to dress-up a little at the Awards Banquet.

 

*Please note that any extra nights at the hotel are not included with registration.  Email MMI at mmi.info@doc.org if you plan to extend your stay and we will give you instructions on booking the extended stay.  MMI has secured a special rate of $189/night for the 3 days prior and 3 days after the conference dates, if rooms are available. If you plan to stay extra nights, we encourage you to contact MMI for hotel information before booking airline tickets or other travel in the event that rooms are not available for your extended stay.
